WARRANTY TERMS AND CONDITIONS

INTRODUCTION

Ledtek’s Standard Warranty is a “return to base” warranty and provides for replacement or repair of the unit(s) in question. Ledtek reserves the right in all cases to test any product returned as “faulty” to determine the fault. Where neither a replacement nor repair are deemed practical then a refund or credit to the account will be forthcoming. The duration of the Standard Warranty may vary according to the product, and may be agreed to prior to an order being placed. Unless otherwise stated or agreed, it is 12 months from the date of purchase from Ledtek. On some products on Standard Warranty, where stated in our literature, is longer, and may be 2, 3 or 5 years. Where this is the case, a year is interpreted to be 10 hours operation per day, 7 days/week. Longer running hours per day will proportionately reduce the Standard Warranty.

GENERAL INCLUSIONS

The Standard Warranty covers defects in design, materials and workmanship. Under the warranty Ledtek will repair; replace; or refund (at Ledtek’s choice) an item deemed to be faulty.

GENERAL EXCLUSIONS

The Standard Warranty excludes consumable items such as lamps, fuses and batteries. The Standard Warranty is void if the fitting has not been installed and maintained in accordance with Ledtek’s instructions and if the fitting has been subject to abnormal conditions of use, including installation in ambient temperatures above 25°C, exposure to unsuitable environmental conditions (e.g. salt spray, certain cleaning agents or other corrosive substances) or abnormal electrical conditions.

In particular, the Standard Warranty excludes consequential losses & damages and any costs associated with the removal or re-installation of fittings.
The assessment of a product’s fitness for purpose is the responsibility of the customer or specifier. Lack of fitness for purpose is not grounds for a warranty claim.

Clients are reminded that frequent switching of fluorescent lamps, as may occur when they are used with occupancy sensors, may seriously reduce the life of the lamp, and the lamps are excluded from our Standard Warranty.
